Based on “Mission Dementia”, an awareness-building project in which police-officers are trained on how to deal with persons with dementia, an additonal project involving persons in the community administration was initiated. The interactive digital training system ASTriD is a new therapeutic service for geriatric patients. ASTriD promotes health literacy and self-empowerment of older people with the help of digital media. The project has been running successfully for about 1 year at the Albert Schweitzer Klinik and improves the quality and efficacy of the inpatient treatment. +
